Skilled workers are those workers who are chosen as permanent residents based on their education, work experience, knowledge of English and /or french and other factors.

As per Canada Immigration since January 1, 2015, In order to immigrate to Canada permanently as Skilled worker the first & important step is to complete an Express Entry profile. There are 3 different programs under which you can apply.

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

In the Express Entry system, Canada Immigration invites people to apply for permanent residence depending on the information applicant has provided in his/her profile. Unless the applicant receives the invitation to apply he/she cannot apply directly under these programs.
